Our Solution

In 2010, the originally Catloc 1001 was designed. The 1001 is a universal product which can be installed to multiple vehicle models and various shapes of catalytic converter, and is still available within our product range today. Using steel ropes to wrap around a vehicles sub frame whilst effective is not always the best way to approach this issue.

It was realised that in order to offer the very best levels of catalytic converter theft protection it would require a tailored approach. By designing vehicle specific products, we are able to utilise the vehicles architecture to maximise the protection available. Furthermore, this also enabled us to keep prices low and make installation easier as we utilise existing holes and fixing positions within a vehicle.

Catloc has come a long way since 2010, and now has over 50 bespoke fitments within the product range. This number is growing to include more passenger vehicle fitments.

This approach, constant investment into development and leading protection, has seen Catloc develop approved products for multiple vehicle manufacturers. These are sold through Dealerships, and supported by the manufacturer. 

Catloc is the only brand and range of catalytic converter products to be both Insurance approved (Sold Secure – Gold Automotive) and Police recommended.

All Catloc products are manufactured using marine grade stainless steel for strength and durability, supplied with high security anti-tamper fixings, fully illustrated instructions and our Catloc ISR security marking and registration system (includes window stickers).

During development, should a plating system be not possible or uneconomical and depending on the application, a chain attachment is used.  This chain is manufactured for Catloc, to the same high standards as insurance approved motorcycle chains and as a further theft deterrent, always sleeved in a high visibility green silicone.
